The job
Prepare the slabs for concrete: reinforcement fixed to the structural design and checked before the pour, because once the concrete is down the steel can never be seen again.
What we did
The crews fixed reinforcement mesh and beams to the design while a supervisor walked the whole deck checking bar sizes, spacing and cover. On the multi-unit site the same checks were repeated unit by unit.
How the client stayed informed
Pre-pour inspection is one of the checkpoints where the client receives photos and video before work continues.
